A lifetime
built around food.
Louis was born and raised in Derby, Connecticut, in 1940 to a widowed mother. At eighteen he joined the Navy. After completing his service, he pursued his passion for food by attending The Culinary Institute to study cooking and later The Dunwoody Institute to study baking.
Food service and entrepreneurship became a thread through his life. In his 70s, Louis created Dads Food Truck, followed by Dads Popcorn Truck, and in 2019, Dad’s Cannoli Truck.
Every cannoli
moves the story forward.
Today, the mission behind the truck is simple: help Louis and Mary Ann step away from the grind and enjoy retirement together. Every public stop, private event and cannoli sold supports a family goal shaped by decades of hard work, dedication and perseverance.
